No crop grown today is as versatile or valuable as corn. From adhesives to aspirin, and cardboard to confectionaries, corn is the used in many products you use every day. Although Washington is not a major producer of corn in the United States, it does boast the highest yield per acre of any state in the union. And the United States accounts for over 40% of the world corn production, more than twice as much as the next largest producer (China).
